The American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS) is the largest international educational organization for security professionals, with over 30,000 members worldwide. ASIS is dedicated to increasing the effectiveness and productivity of security professionals by developing educational programs and materials that focus on both the fundamentals and the most recent advancements in security management.

ASIS Local Chapters
There are more than 200 official ASIS chapter organizations worldwide to give you the opportunity to network and interact with colleagues and other security practitioners in a local setting. Chapters are active in sponsoring local and regional seminars, focusing on local professional issues, and providing festive social activities for members.

 

Committees and Councils
Membership in ASIS gives you the opportunity to become an active voice in establishing and reviewing society policies and procedures. There are over 30 ASIS standing committees and councils whose role it is to identify and investigate those issues of concern to the society and those that will influence the course of the security industry.

 

Professional Development

Executive Referral
The ASIS Executive Referral program provides members an opportunity to match professional skills with available employment opportunities. Members interested in new job listings, as well as companies interested in listing job openings, need only contact the ASIS Executive Referral Service to have their information entered into this exclusive employment database. ASIS Educational Programs
ASIS offers over 30 educational programs throughout the year. These programs range from two-day topic-oriented sessions to specialized industry conferences and five-day broad-based courses covering all facets of security management.

 

ASIS Annual Seminar and Exhibits
ASIS produces the security industry's largest, most comprehensive educational program and exposition, attracting over 15,000 security practitioners and 600 exhibiting companies from around the world. With over 140 educational sessions spread over four days, the Annual Seminar and Exhibits addresses all facets of security management and practice. Discounts on registration fees are available to all members.

ASIS Security Resources Catalog
The ASIS Security Resources Catalog contains over 200 educational books and related publication items addressing virtually every topic in the security field. Discounts on all items in the catalog are available to members.

ASISNET is the official on-line service of ASIS. This state-of-the-art resource gives subscribers direct access to the information and services required to stay abreast of the most recent developments in the security industry.

 

Security Management
Security Management, ASIS's award-winning monthly magazine, provides articles and information about topical areas of interest written by leading experts from every aspect of security management. ASIS members are automatically entitled to a complimentary subscription as part of membership.

 

O.P. Norton Information Resources Center
The O.P. Norton Information Resources Center (IRC) contains a vast clearinghouse of collective industry knowledge. The IRC stores security-related publications and materials in all formats from books and reports to video tapes and on-line databases. Reference professionals are available to help users locate needed materials.

 

ASIS Online
The ASIS parent website is your electronic connection to the security industry. This site provides timely, interactive association and industry information.

 

Dynamics
Dynamics, ASIS's bimonthly newsletter, keeps members up-to-date on all international, national, regional, and local society activities.
